Fujian to build industrial clusters of power battery and RE graphene new material

Recently, Fujian Development and Reform Commission and Fujian Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology issued promotion plans for building modern industrial system and cultivating industrial clusters worth of RMB100 billion (2018-2020) (hereinafter referred to as plans). According to the plans, Fujian will focus on developing 27 industrial clusters worth of RMB1 billion in the next three years, including power battery and rare earth (RE) graphene new material, modern steel, stainless steel, gold-copper-aluminum industries, etc. Construction plans for industrial clusters of power battery and RE graphene new material are as follows:
Fujian will take Ningde, Zhangzhou, Xiamen and Longyan as the center to drive mutual development of the province, and rely on industrial concentration area like Dongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Longyan RE Industrial Park, Sanming RE Industrial Park, Xiamen Torch High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Yong'an Graphite and Graphene Industrial Park, Jinjiang Graphene Industrial Park and technology of Graphene Industry and Engineering Research Institute, Xiamen University to support and develop CATL, Menshine, Super Power New Energy, Xiamen Tungsten, Shanshan Technology, Golden Dragon Rare-Earth, etc. It will focus on developing new materials, including power battery, RE functional material and application products, graphene and others, and strive to realize an output value of RMB110 billion by 2020.
