Zhongli Group to acquire remained equity of BAK Battery

Zhongli Group announced on 27 July that the company actively works on external expansion for innovation and transformation in order to further develop layout in new energy industry and it will join new energy power battery industry by acquiring BAK Battery for strengthened sustainable profitability of the listed company.
According to the announcement, Zhongli Group has got 8.29% of total stocks of BAK Battery so far and it will acquire the remained stocks of BAK Batttery in terms of stock issue and cash payment. The final price for basic negotiation will be determined on the basis of assets appraisal report generated by qualified securities evaluation bodies.
As a national high-tech enterprise specializing in R&D, production and sales of NCM lithium-ion batteries and a leading company with advantages in scale, technology and research, BAK Battery produces 18650 cylindrical NCM lithium-ion power batteries for new-energy passenger vehicles and special vehicles. In 2017, BAK Battery achieved sales revenue of about RMB3 billion and realized installed capacity of nearly 1.7GWh. The NCM811 series power batteries, which have been put into mass production by BAK Battery, own an individual energy density of over 250wh/kg and have become a market leader.
