Steel de-capacity in Hebei in H1 of 2017 was better than previous years and expectation. Steel and iron output decreased by 15.72 million tons and 14.08 million tons respectively in Hebei in H1 of 2017.
Steel and iron output decreased by 5.19 million tons and 1.82 million tons respectively in Hebei in H1 of 2017 through capacity replacement and reduction replacement. In addition, one steel enterprise quit the steel industry in Langfang and the inferior rebar industry shut down in H1 of 2017.
Hebei saw coal output drop by 4.04 million tons in H1 of 2017 and completed the task of 54%; cement, plate glass and coke output declined by 1.2 million tons, 2.6 million boxes and 1.488 billion tons; Hebei shut down 16 fossil power plants of 174，000 kilowatts in H1 of 2017.
