Zhanjiang Customs, the affiliation to Xiashan Customs, has officially started to use rare earth ore recently and successfully conducted the first supervision on a batch of nickel ore at the spot of the Customs
According to field officers, the portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer was a high-tech instrument to be exclusively used to detect rare earth mineral elements, which can determine elements of rare earth, mineral and alloy with one-touch operation, Bluetooth printing etc. Meanwhile, the instrument was smaller in size and convenient in portability, etc . , which can serve as a solid “fire wall” with no need of sample making and any harm on detected objects.
At present, the equipment has become a new helper for front-line customs officers in field operations, providing technical support for the prevention and control of smuggling of rare earth.
. When the official held the analyzer to screen the nickel ore, different element content of the screened ores was shown on the X-ray fluorescence spectrometer and then a complete analysis report on nickel ore content would be printed.
