China's annual titanium dioxide production hit an all-time high of 4

The production of anatase titanium dioxide was 420,000 tonnes, accounting for 10 . 10% of the total production, 2 . 3 percentage points lower compared with the prior year . The production of other grades of titanium dioxide totaled 140,000 tonnes, accounting for 3 . 37% of the total, down by 0 . 9 percentage points versus a year ago.
In 2023, a total of 692,000 tonnes of titanium dioxide was produced by the chloride process in China, an increase of 195,000 tonnes or 39.33% from 2022 . During the year, 16 . 63% of all titanium dioxide products and 19 . 22% of rutile titanium dioxide were produced by chloride process, both up significantly from a year ago.
