In accordance with relevant guidelines and implementation measures issued by the State Council and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the primary aluminum production capacity replacement scheme by Xinjiang Qiya Aluminum & Electricity Co., Ltd. was released by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Xinjiang for public disclosure until January 17, 2024.
The company plans to replace aluminum production capacity of 400,000tpa by building 326 cells of 500KA at the National Xinjiang Zhundong Economic-Technological Development Park in February 2024 and expects new capacity to come on stream in February 2025. As part of the capacity replacement, the company plans to shut down its existing 326 cells of 500KA with the same production capacity by February 2025.
