Fugu Jan-Nov magnesium production down by 22.7% YoY

China's Fugu county reported a total production value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB114.67 billion (USD16.04 billion) in the first eleven months of 2023, down by 12.7% from the prior year period, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size up by 10%, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to November, Fugu produced 89.28 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 5% YoY, 12.79 million tonnes of washed coal, up by 9.5% YoY, 8.16 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 20.9% YoY, 338,800 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 58.6% YoY, 614,600 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 22.3% YoY, 334,000 tonnes of magnesium metal, down by 22.7% YoY, and 305,200 tonnes of light coal tar, down by 39.4% YoY.
