Guocheng Mining sees first bag of titanium dioxide from 200ktpa production line

Guocheng Mining has produced the first bag of titanium dioxide from its sulphur-titanium-iron resources comprehensive utilization project, marking the start of production at the 200,000tpa rutile titanium dioxide production line.
The project completed construction on June 30, 2023 and then entered the commissioning phase. When reaching full capacity, it would produce 200,000 tonnes of rutile titanium dioxide, 700,000 tonnes of industrial sulphuric acid, 630,000 tonnes of hematite and magnetite concentrate and 640,000 tonnes of ferrous sulfate, and is expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs. The project would consume about 1 million tonnes of iron pyrite and 800,000 tonnes of sulphuric acid produced and sourced locally every year.
