1Mtpa aluminum project kicks off construction in North Kalimatan, Indonesia

On December 12, the phase one of a 1Mtpa electrolytic aluminum plant project broke ground at Tanah Kuning Industrial Park in North Kalimatan, Indonesia.
The project has a total floor area of around 362,500 square meters and, when fully operationally, is able to produce 1 million tonnes per annum of primary aluminum and prebaked anode.
The phase one construction includes calcination plant, coal gas station, green petroleum coke storage facility, waste water treatment facility, storage facility of hazardous waste and other civil engineerings and equipment installation.
