On December 11, Liaoning officials held a meeting calling for the high-quality development of the magnesite industry.
The meeting stressed the importance of magnesite resources for the raw material industry chain in the magnesite-rich province, and measures should be taken to further optimize the supply of magnesite resource and to speed up industrial restructuring, for advancing the construction of a trillion-yuan new metallurgical materials industry base. All regional departments should promote the integration of magnesite resources and shift to the large-scale, intensive and green development, turning resource advantages to industry advantages.
The meeting also pointed out that the government will strengthen control over magnesite production capacity and output, promote industry transformation and upgrading, and tighten regulation and supervision using big data tools.
