Tongwei Green Materials (Guangyuan) to build 200ktpa silicon metal project

The environmental impact assessment (EIA) for PV silicon material project (phase one industrial silicon project) developed by Tongwei Green Materials (Guangyuan) Co., Ltd. was released for public disclosure for the first time on November 15.
According to the EIA, the company plans to invest RMB2.8 billion (USD387 million) to build the project at Ziyun Industrial Park in Cangxi Economic Development Zone, Guangyuan, Sichuan. Construction mainly includes 14 electric furnaces of 33000kVA and associated facilities for a total production capacity of 200,000tpa of industrial silicon.
