Luoyuan Minguang breaks ground on 1.3Mtpa high speed wire rod project

Fujian Luoyuan Minguang Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. kicked off construction of the 1.3 million-tonne-per-annum high speed wire rod project on November 9.
With a total investment of RMB936 million (USD128 million), the project will tear down the existing 600ktpa production line and add two new production lines with combined capacity of 1.3 million tonnes per annum. Construction of the project is expected to take 12 months.
The new project will mainly produce steel wire rod for construction, drawing rod, high-quality carbon steel, cold-heading steel, PC steel and hard steel wire and other wire rod products which are widely used in the fields such as civil engineering, mechanical processing, automobile manufacturing and hardware for daily use.
