HEC's battery aluminum foil project begins phase one trial production

On November 2, HEC started phase one trial production at its low-carbon high-end battery aluminum foil project, which is on track to commence production in December. With a total investment of RMB10.5 billion (USD1.44 billion), the project will be completed in three phrases to build production capacity of 200,000tpa of low-carbon high-end battery aluminum foil and associated materials.
The phase one has nine rolling mills in total, with seven mills left for installation and testing. The nine mills are expected to become fully operational by next June, when the phase one would reach production capacity of 60,000tpa of battery aluminum foil. When all three phases are completed, the project is expected to become the largest and most advanced battery aluminum foil production base in China.
