Shagang's strip casting silicon steel project breaks ground

On October 8, Shagang broke ground on its high quality strip casting silicon steel project with a designed production capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum. The project, covering 820Mu (54.67 hectares), consists of two phases, including phase one with annual production capacity of 1.18 million tonnes of non-oriented silicon steel.
Upon completion of the project, Shagang will be able to produce non-oriented silicon steel of all specifications and become one of the top silicon steel producers in China.
