Xinsteel's H1 non-oriented silicon steel sales hits record high

Xinyu Iron & Steel Corporation Limited (Xinsteel) reported sales of 659,200t of non-oriented silicon steel in the first half of 2023, up by 55.83% from the year ago period and hitting a new high. According to statistics of electrical steel industry, China's total production and sales of non-oriented silicon steel reached 5.53 million tonnes in the first half of this year, and Xinsteel was the third highest ranked company with a market share of 11.75%.
During the first half of the year, Xinsteel sold 39,000t of silicon steel used for new energy vehicle, and the medium-to-high grade products accounted for 81.51% of the total, including 39.26% for high-grade production, a significant increase from last year.
