Baotou Branch of Chalco (Shanghai) Carbon Co., Ltd. has put the south baking furnace of its 120,000tpy prebaked anode upgrade project into operation, which marked the completion of the project.
With a construction period of 189 days, the upgrade project, aimed at boosting capacity while reducing energy consumption and production costs, will produce multiple types of prebaked anode carbon block with specification up to 1770×750×710mm.
