China's steel product output up by 3.2% YoY in Jan-May

According to the data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), in May 2023 China's pig iron production recorded 77 million tons, down by 4.8% year on year; crude steel production was 90.12 million tons, down by 7.3% YoY; and steel product output reached 118.47 million tons, down by 1.3% year on year.
In the first five months of 2023, China's pig iron production recorded 374.74 million tons, up by 3.2% year on year; crude steel production was 444.63 million tons, up by 1.6% YoY; and steel product output reached 557.06 million tons, up by 3.2% year on year.
