LB Group not to build new or expand sulfate-process titanium dioxide production projects

LB Group recently revealed that the company will concentrate on titanium dioxide production by chloride process and won't build new or expand sulfate-process production projects.
Currently, LB Group owns two chloride-mode production bases, including Jiaozuo in Henan and Chuxiong in Yunnan with a total annual production of 660,000t, and is planning to construct a 200,000tpy chloride-process titanium dioxide project in Panzhihua, Sichuan.
In 2022 the company produced 309,400 tons of titanium dioxide by chloride process, accounting for 62.25% of the total production of this kind in China, and sold 275,700 tons, of which nearly 70% were sold on the international market.
