Peru Carbominerales SAC increases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 28 Apr 23 - A major tin ingot 99.95%min producer in Peru, Carbominerales SAC Co., Ltd., would increase the production of tin ingot to 100t in April, the source from company noted.
"As our local mine resumed production since late last month, we increased the output to about 100t this month, up by 40t from last month," the source from the company disclosed. Their biggest local mine, San- Rafael, where most smelters source their raw materials, has been shut down for nearly 10 weeks. So, with the gradual recovery of mine production, their production would remain at about 100 t next month.
The producer, based on an annual production capacity of 2,000t for tin ingot, the company purchases tin concentrate 65%min from local mine, holding no inventory now. They exported their products to Brazil, USA and some Asian countries or regions, such as Japan, Taiwan China etc.
The mainstream prices of tin ingot 99.95%min stand at USD25,900-26,000/t EXW D/P locally, down by USD150/t from yesterday. As most suppliers held positive attitudes to the market and the supply of tin ingot kept a little bit tight during the past month, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of tin ingot in Peru would move up as following days.
