Zhongshan HanHua increases tin solder production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 26 Apr 23 - Zhongshan HanHua Tin Industry Co., Ltd., one of major tin solder producers in Guangdong, increased the production of tin solder to about 180t in April, a source from the company disclosed to Asian Metal.
"We increased the output to nearly 180t, up by 20t from last month. Most downstream clients had willingness to replenish stocks before the Labor Day. However, that doesn't mean demand recovery, our production in this month decreased by 20t YoY," the source claimed. They added that they would probably produce about 180t next month.
The company usually purchases tin ingot 99.95%min from Guangdong to produce tin solder products, such as solder wire, welding tin billet and solder bar, and sells its products to downstream electronics plants. With an annual production capacity of 2,400t, the company holds about 30t of stocks in hand for the time being.
The mainstream prices for tin solder Sn 99.3%min Cu 0.7%max stand at RMB215-217/kg (USD31.2-31.5/kg) EXW D/P in Guangdong currently, down by RMB1/kg (USD0.14/kg) yesterday. As most downstream clients purchased from hand to mouth, insiders predict that the mainstream prices for tin solder would edge down tomorrow.
