BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Apr 23 - Wulate Zhongqi Boyuan Silicon Industry Co., Ltd., one of the major HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max producers, predicts to decrease their production in April, a source from this company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source mentioned, "We estimate to decrease our production of HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max in April due to the weak demand and high prices of chrome ore". They predict to produce around 10,000t in April, down by around 2,000t from March. They hold 2 furnaces of 33,000kVA at present.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 144,000t of HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max, predicts to produce around 10,000t in April, down by around 2,000t from last month. They produced around 36,000t in 2023.
On Monday, the mainstream prices for HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max stand at RMB8,400-8,600/t (USD1,218-1,247/t) EXW D/P in Inner Mongolia at present, unchanged from late last week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged within this week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
