Nankang Kaiyuan decreases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Apr 23 - Due to tight supply of tin scrap, Nankang Kaiyuan Mining Co., Ltd., the largest tin ingot 99.95%min producer in East China, decreased the output to about 2,500t in April.
"We produced around 2,500t of tin ingot in April, down by 500t from last month," the source from the company claimed. Although they have enough raw materials in hand now, they would probably produce about 2,500t next month due to tight supply in prevailing market.
They own six furnaces of 1250kVA and one Ausmelt furnace. Based on an annual production capacity of 40,000t for tin ingot, the company purchases tin scarp to produce tin ingot 99.95%min and sells to some tin solder producers in South China, holding an inventory of 200t now.
On Monday, the prevailing prices of tin ingot 99.95%min stand at RMB212,000-214,000/t (USD30,716-31,006/t) EXW down in East China, unchanged from last Friday. As most suppliers held bearish attitudes to the market and most downstream clients purchased with cautious views, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of Chinese tin ingot would edge down tomorrow.
