Chinese LC ferrochrome export prices steady

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 23 Apr 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week due to the unchanged prices of LC ferrochrome in domestic market. Currently, the mainstream prices for Chinese LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max stand at USD2.38-2.40/Ib Cr FOB China, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming three days as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from South China mentioned, "We quote USD2.30/Ib Cr FOB China for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max and could accept the price as low as USD2.28/Ib Cr at present, unchanged from early this week". They received an inquiry mid this week, but the customer refused to purchase after they quoted USD2.28/Ib Cr. They last sold around 25t at USD2.32/Ib Cr early this week. They have no plan to change their price in the coming three days and predict the mainstream prices would keep flat as well.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 100t of LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max, predicts to sell around 25t in April, while they sold around 100t in March. They have no inventory at the moment.
A trader from North China disclosed, "We offer USD2.40/Ib Cr FOB China for LC ferrochrome Cr60%min C0.1%max and could accept the price as low as USD2.38/Ib Cr ; and we quote USD2.53/Ib Cr FOB China for Cr65%min C0.1%max and could not accept any prices lower than USD2.50/Ib at present, unchanged from early this week". They did not conclude any deal today and last sold around 75t at USD2.53/Ib Cr for Cr65%min C0.1%max mid this week. They estimate the mainstream prices would keep flat in the following three days and have no plan to change their price as well.
