BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Apr 23 - European indium ingot 99.995%min market movements slowly at present as most downstream consumers only watch the market without any purchase plans in view of soft demand. Currently, the mainstream prices of European indium ingot 99.995%min hover at USD218-223/kg in warehouse Rotterdam, down by about USD1/kg from the end of last week. Market participants forecast that the mainstream prices of European indium ingot 99.995%min would keep stable in the coming week as most suppliers refuse to lower the price further.
A European trader stated that they did not close any deal of indium ingot 99.995%min over the past three weeks as their consumers generally consume the stocks and few of them tend to build inventory at present, while they usually could sell around 100kg a week in the spot market before. They offer USD230/kg in warehouse Rotterdam for indium ingot 99.995%min at present and refuse to sell below this price even for firm bids, unchanged from early this week. They last sold around 100kg at USD230/kg in warehouse Rotterdam at the end of March. The source said, "We believe that the prevailing prices of European indium ingot 99.995%min would remain stable in the upcoming week due to unchanged prices from suppliers."
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of 1t of indium ingot 99.995%min, expects to close no deal in April and sold around 1t in March. They hold around 2t of inventory presently, unchanged from the end of last month.
Another trader in Europe disclosed that they only sold around 100kg of indium ingot 99.995%min since early this week, while usually could sell more than 500kg a week before. As their consumers generally did not start to build stocks, they hardly to close more deals in April. They insist on USD230/kg in warehouse Rotterdam for indium ingot 99.995%min for firm bids no more than 100kg and last sold around 100kg at this price early this week.
