Brazil Super Ligas increases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 21 Apr 23 - As the raw material supply shortage was solved and the goods need to be delivered to downstream clients, a major tin ingot producer in Brazil, Super Ligas Metals Industry and Commercial Co., Ltd., would increase the production of tin ingot to 120t in April.
"We plan to climb the output to about 120t this month, up by 50t from last month," the source from the company disclosed, adding that they need to deliver goods to their clients and they would probably produce around 120t next month due to active market.
Most of their products were sold domestically, and 20% of their goods were exported overseas, mainly to Europe and North America. With an annual production capacity of 3,000t for tin ingot, the company purchases tin concentrate and tin scrap from local traders to produce tin ingot. In addition to this, the company has its own downstream tin solder plant.
The mainstream prices of tin ingot 99.95%min stand at USD26,700-26,800/t EXW D/P locally, up by USD50/t from yesterday. Considering the stable consumption from downstream and bullish views from most suppliers, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of tin ingot in Brazil would move up in the forthcoming days.
