East Hope Baotou achieves full aluminum rod production capacity

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 19 Apr 23 - East Hope Baotou Rare Earth Aluminum Co., Ltd., one major aluminum rod producer in North China, achieved full production capacity in late March and predicts to produce about 30,000t of aluminum rod in April.
"We started to build two new aluminum bar production lines since last June and commenced trial production from November 30, 2022. We completed commissioning and achieved full production capacity in late March. Our output would reach about 30,000t in April, higher than nearly 27,000t in March", a source from the company said, and added that they have all of ten production lines in operation now.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 380,000t and no stock now, produced about 290,000t in 2022 and plans to produce around 350,000t in 2023.
On Tuesday, the mainstream TCs of Chinese electrical round aluminum rod 1A60 in Inner Mongolia stood at RMB300/t (USD44/t) EXW D/P, stable from Monday. Given the current increasing demand, insiders believe that the prevailing TCs of Chinese electrical round aluminum rod would go up in the coming week.
