The current mainstream prices of American bismuth ingot 99.99%min stand at USD4.55-4.65/lb delivered American, the same as the middle of this week. Market participants believe that the mainstream prices of American bismuth ingot 99.99%min would stay stable within this week in view that most suppliers keep the prices unchanged now.
A consumer in America mentioned that their regular suppliers generally offer USD4.75/lb delivered American for bismuth ingot 99.99%min at present and few of the suppliers could lower the price even for firm bids, the same as early this week. As they would like to bid below USD4.5/lb delivered American, they did not purchase since the beginning of April and still watch the market now. They last purchased around 1t at USD5.10/lb delivered American one month ago. "We forecast that the mainstream prices of American bismuth ingot 99.99%min would remain stable in the following week due to firm prices from suppliers now," the source said.
The consumer, with a consumption capacity of 20tpy of bismuth ingot 99.99%min, expects to consume around 1t in April, unchanged from last month. They hold limited stocks now, the same as the end of last month. They consumed around 10t in 2022 and about 3t so far in 2023.
A trader in America noted that they tried to increase the price of bismuth ingot 99.99%min to USD4.30/lb delivered America last week, while failed and last sold around 20t at USD4.2/lb delivered America finally early this week. They still insist on USD4.2/lb delivered America at present.
