Kindia Mining to receive bauxite mining license

BEIIJNG (Asian Metal) 14 Apr 23 - Kindia Mining Company SARL, a new bauxite producer in Guinea, would receive the bauxite mining license from this June with the proven reserves of around 370 million tonnes, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We would receive the mining license in June this year with the proven reserves of around 370 million tonnes," said the source, who plans to launch operation from this October, targeting around 1 million tonnes of bauxite production.
The project, with the initial production capacity of 6 million tonnes per year, is around 80km away to Konta Port and they will finish building the rest 15km road in two months. Negotiations of barges and surface miners are going on.
Current prevailing prices for bauxite Al2O3 45%min SiO2 3%max stand at USD65-67/dt CIF China, similar with last week. Chinese demand for imported bauxite remains strong and Indonesian bauxite export ban continues.
