Zimbabwean HC ferrochrome prices in Chinese market unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Apr 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from mid this week following the unchanged prices of domestic HC ferrochrome. Currently, the mainstream prices for Zimbabwean HC ferrochrome Cr58%min C8%max stand at RMB8,900-9,100/t (USD1,294-1,322/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from mid this week
A trader from South China mentioned, "We offer RMB9,000/t (USD1,308/t) EXW D/P and could accept the price as low as RMB8,900/t (USD1,293/t) for Zimbabwean HC ferrochrome Cr58%min C8%max at present, in line with mid this week". They did not conclude any deal this week and last sold around 100t at RMB9,000/t (USD1,308/t) EXW D/P in early April . They hold pessimistic attitudes and predict the mainstream prices would move down in the coming week.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 1,000t of Zimbabwean HC ferrochrome Cr58%min C8%max, predicts to sell around 500t in April, down by around 500t from last month. They hold no stock at present.
A trader from North China disclosed, "We quote RMB8,600/t (USD1,250/t) EXW D/P for Zimbabwean HC ferrochrome Cr58%min C8%max with no concession at present, unchanged from mid this week". They sold around 30t at RMB8,600/t (USD1,250/t) early this week . They hold negative attitudes towards the market prices because of the decreased prices of domestic HC ferrochrome . They estimate the mainstream prices would decrease in the following week, and they might decrease their price as well.
