Laman Mining plans to increase bauxite production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 23 - PT Laman Mining, a mid-sized bauxite producer in Indonesia, would produce around 100,000t in April and plans to produce around 150,000t in May, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We might produce 100,000t in April, similar to last month but plan to produce around 150,000t in May," said the source, who keeps no stock now and focuses on sales in the local market. If Indonesia reopens bauxite export, they will sell to China.
Based on the production capacity of 3.6 million tonnes per year, they produced around 1 million tonnes in 2022 and over 200,000t so far this year, with no inventory now.
Current mainstream prices for bauxite Al2O3 45%min SiO2 3%max keep at USD65-67/dt CIF China, unchanged from one week ago. For the bauxite export ban, Indonesia producers watch the export market now.
