Shandong Doguide Group to increase titanium dioxide output

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 23 - One of the major titanium dioxide producers in China, Shandong Doguide Group plans to increase their titanium dioxide output in April
"As most consumers remain active in placing orders, we resume full production this month. We plan to increase our output to around 13,000t in April, up by 2,500t from last month," said a source from the company, adding that as they have confidence in the market encouraged by increasing orders from downstream consumers.
Based on an annual production capacity of 220,000t, the plant expects to produce around 13,000t this month, up by 2,500t from last month. The total production volume in 2022 reached around 133,000t and the total volume so far in 2023 reached about 38,000t.
The current mainstream prices of rutile titanium dioxide 93%min in Shandong increased to RMB16,500-17,000/t (USD2,397-2,469/t) D/A 180 days, up by RMB200/t (USD29/t) from early last week. As most producer hold limited stocks, they plan to raise their prices to test the market in the recent days.
