Gejiu Jiyuan increases tin concentrate production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 23 - As overseas mines increased production, Gejiu Jiyuan Mining Co., Ltd., a major tin concentrate 40%min producer in Yunnan, would increase the production by about 600 metal tons MoM to around 1,000 metal tons in April.
"We would increase the output to around 1,000 metal tons of tin concentrate in April, up by 600 metal tons from last month," the source from the company claimed. Although they imported ores from Myanmar decreased due to transportation blockage, the other ores in Africa and South America were making up for that and the grade of ores were much higher than the mines in Myanmar.
The producer, with an annual production of 20,000 metal tons, the company purchases tin concentrate 30%min from Myanmar and has their own cooperative mines in Nigeria and Bolivia at the same time. The annual production target for this year is 10,000 metal tons and they produced about 1,300 metal tons this date to year, holding an inventory of 1,600 metal tons at present.
On Tuesday, the mainstream TCs of tin concentrate 40%min stood at RMB13,000-15,000/metal ton (USD1,891-2,182/metal ton) delivered currently in Yunnan, unchanged from yesterday. Given that most suppliers insisted on their TCs steady and the prices of tin ingot would probably edge down, insiders predict that the prices of tin concentrate would drop tomorrow.
