BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 23 - Chinese 304 grade stainless CRC market remains quiet at the moment due to customers' slow buying activities, but suppliers maintain their prices unchanged mainly supported by high prices of steel mills. The present mainstream prices of stainless CRC 304/2B 2.0mm*1,219mm*C from TTSS stand at RMB15,300-15,350/t (USD2,222-2,230/t) D/P in warehouse Wuxi, and those of stainless CRC 304/2B 2.0mm*1,219mm*C from ZPSS hover at RMB15,450-15,500/t (USD2,244-2,251/t) D/P in warehouse Hangzhou, the same as those of last Friday. Insiders predict that Chinese 304 grade stainless CRC prices would remain stable in the coming week on weak demand and high prices of steel mills.
A distributor of 304 grade stainless CRC in Wuxi with a regular sales volume of about 3,000tpm reported to Asian Metal that the market remains dim for the time being. "Because of the continuous price drop these days, many customers prefer to take wait-and-see attitudes now and place orders sparingly," said the trader, adding that he can only receive two or three inquiries a day now, similar to last week, but less than at least three last month. According to him, he just sold about 10t of stainless CRC 304/2B 2.0mm*1,219mm*C from TTSS at RMB15,300/t (USD2,222/t) D/P in warehouse Wuxi on Tuesday and last sold around 10t last Friday at the same price. The trader has no plan to adjust the price and predicts that Chinese 304 grade stainless CRC prices would keep stable in the coming week on soft demand and high prices of steel mills.
