Xinyongfa Aluminum completes maintenance of secondary aluminum alloy ingot production equipment

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 23 - Sichuan Xinyongfa Aluminum Co., Ltd., one of the major secondary aluminum alloy ingot producers in Southwest China, resumed production on April 9 and expects to produce at most 3,000t in April.
"We suspended the operation of all our two production lines on March 30 for the maintenance of environmental protection equipment and completed the maintenance and resumed production on April 9. We expect to produce only around 3,000t in April, down from about 5,000t in March," the source said, adding that both of their two production lines are in operation now.
With an annual production capacity of 100,000t, the company has two secondary aluminum alloy ingot production lines, one of which is equipped with a 35-ton top furnace and a 25-ton bottom furnace and the other is equipped with a 25-ton top furnace and a 25-ton bottom furnace. They produced about 32,500t in 2022 and about 12,500t in the first quarter of 2023, holding about 400t of stocks now.
On Monday, mainstream prices for aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 in Southwest China stood at RMB18,500-18,700/t (USD2,686-2,715/t) delivered D/P, down by RMB100/t (USD14.52/t) from last Friday. Insiders said that the demand for secondary aluminum alloy ingot keeps weak this week and producers face increasing sales pressure, so prices for Chinese secondary aluminum alloy ingot might move down in the following week.
