Xinhao Aluminum to see increase in aluminum bar production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Apr 23 - Qinghai Xinhao Aluminum Co., Ltd., one of the major aluminum bar producers in Northwest China, increased the aluminum output to around 33,000t in March.
"We resumed aluminum bar production on February 8 and only produced about 22,000t in February because we only had 20 days in operation in the month. Our production reached about 33,000t in March," the source said, adding that they run eight smelting furnaces at present.
With an annual production capacity of 450,000t, the company has nine 25-ton smelting furnaces and produced about 295,000t in 2022. They hold no stock now.
On Thursday, TCs for Chinese aluminum bar 6063 φ120mm in warehouse Wuxi stood at RMB450-490/t (USD65.43-71.25/t) EXW D/P, stable from the previous trading day. Insiders said that the aluminum market sees active deals now and producers receive sufficient orders, so Chinese aluminum bar 6063 φ120mm TC might move up in the coming week.
