BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 Apr 23 - SeAl & Co, a medium-sized secondary aluminum alloy ingots producer in Russia, suspended production for regular equipment maintenance in early April and would produce over 600t this month, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We shut down operation for regular equipment maintenance early this month and might produce over 600t this month," said the source, adding that they might restart normal operation from the middle of this month and produced around 1,400t in March, with no inventory now.
Based on two melting furnaces and the total production capacity of 24,000tpy, they produced over 4,000t so far this year and around 15,000t in 2022.
Current prevailing prices for secondary aluminum alloy ingots ADC12 stand at USD2,210-2,310/t CIF China, up by USD30/t from early this week, supported by the improved aluminum prices. The purchase demand from China remains weak now.
