Indian HC ferrochrome prices in Chinese market unchanged

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 7 April 23 – Most suppliers keep their prices unchanged from early this week due to the unchanged prices of domestic HC ferrochrome. Currently, the mainstream prices for Indian HC ferrochrome Cr58%min C8%max stand at RMB8,800-9,000/t (USD1,280-1,309/t) EXW D/P, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep flat in the coming three days as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
A trader from South China mentioned, "We offer RMB9,000/t (USD1,309/t) EXW D/P for Indian HC ferrochrome Cr58%min C8%max with no counteroffer at the moment, in line with early this week". They did not conclude any deal this week and last sold around 30t at RMB9,200/t (USD1,338/t) in mid last week. They have no plan to change their price due to the unchanged prices of domestic HC ferrochrome this week. They predict the mainstream prices would keep flat in coming three days.
The trader, based on a regular monthly trading volume of around 100t of Indian HC ferrochrome Cr58%min C8%max, estimates to sell around 100t in April, in line with March. They have around 50t of stocks at the moment.
