CNMC Zhengyuan's 60,000tpy lithium battery cathode material precursor project formally went into construction on March 28th in the Eastern Industrial Park of Tongling Economic Development District.
CNMC Zhengyuan is a joint venture of China Nonferrous Metal Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. and XTC New Energy and its 60,000tpy lithium battery cathode material precursor project is divided into three phases in construction with a total investment of RMB10 billion (USD1.45 billion). In particular, the project will build four cobalt tetroxide production lines and eight NCM precursor production lines in phase one and phase two respectively with a total production capacity of 60,000tpy. After putting the first two phases into operation, the project will gradually launch the construction of the phase three, which will add several production lines for both tetroxide and NCM precursor.
