Kanghong Industry and Trade to increase secondary aluminum alloy ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 23 - Liquan Kanghong Industry and Trade Co., Ltd., one of the major secondary aluminum alloy ingot producers in Northwest China, expects the output in March to reach around 2,500t.
"We were out of production in early February for the fog weather and resumed production on February 11 as the fog weather ended. As a result, the output was only about 1,500t in February. We don't suspend production in March and expect to produce about 2,500t this month," a source from the company said, adding that all their three smelting furnaces are under normal operation now.
With an annual production capacity of 60,000t, the company has three furnaces, including one 50-ton top furnace and two 35-ton bottom furnaces. They produced about 27,200t in 2022 and expect to produce about 2,500t in March, up from about 1,500t in February. They hold about 234t of stocks now.
On Tuesday, mainstream prices for aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 in Southwest China stood at RMB18,600-18,800/t (USD2,702-2,731/t) delivered D/P, down by RMB100/t (USD14.53/t) from Monday. Insiders said that the demand for secondary aluminum alloy ingot keeps weak at present, so prices for Chinese aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 would move down in the coming week.
