Jinyang Advanced Material suspends aluminum fluoride production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 23 - Anhui Jinyang Advanced Material Co., the only aluminum fluoride producer in Anhui of China, suspended production from early March and might not restart operation in March, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We suspended production early this month and would not produce this month," said the source, who produced around 2,000t last month and shut down operation because of the sluggish market. They plan to restart operation in the middle of April.
With two production lines and the production capacity of 54,000tpy, they produced around 60,000t in 2022 and close to 4,000t so far this year.
Current mainstream prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in China stand at RMB8,600-8,800/t (USD1,251-1,281/t) EXW, down by RMB100/t (USD15/t) from late last week for the soft demand. As aluminum smelters in Yunnan cut production, the demand turned weak.
