Liaoyang Dexin Casting to increase S.G. cast iron output

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Mar 23 - Liaoyang Dexin Casting Co., Ltd. (Liaoyang Dexin Casting), one of three major S.G. cast iron producers in Liaoning, plans to produce around 17,000t of the material in March, up from 4,200t in February.
"We resumed production in the middle of February after the suspension since early last December and plan to produce with full capacity in March," said a source from the company, adding that their output would reach nearly 17,000t this month, up from 4,200t in February.
Liaoyang Dexin Casting owns an annual production capacity of 300,000t for S.G. cast iron. It recorded an output of roughly 166,000t in 2022, down from 210,000t in 2021. It holds no stock currently.
The mainstream prices of S.G. cast iron Q10 in Liaoning stood at RMB3,700-3,750/t (USD536-543/t) EXW D/P on Wednesday, down by RMB20/t (USD3/t) from Tuesday. Given increased supply but limited demand, S.G. cast iron prices would soften further in the coming week.
