Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min stand at RMB130,000-132,000/t (USD18.7-19/kg) EXW D/P, unchanged from late last week. Considering that few suppliers would like to loosen their prices to promote sales and the solid market mentality continues, insiders believe that the mainstream prices of Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min would stay in a stalemate in the coming week.
"Our current production couldn't meet clients' demand now so we have no reason to loosen our price. For firm bids, we ask at least RMB130,000/t (USD18.7/kg) EXW D/P," said a producer in South China. They last sold 20t of ammonium metavanadate 98%min at this price level late last week and refuse to accept any discount now. Prices of vanadium pentoxide flake 98%min they inquired stayed solid at around RMB138,000/t (USD9.2/lb V2O5) EXW D/P during the past week. Considering that downstream market could offer effective support now, they expect that the mainstream prices of Chinese ammonium metavanadate 98%min would stay firm in the following week.
With an annual production capacity of 1,200t, they produced about 600t in 2022 and about 90t in the first two months of 2023. The producer expects to produce about 60t this month, up by about 10t from February, holding no inventory for the moment, unchanged MoM.
