Huanshi Mining increases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 14 Mar 23 - Huanshi Mining Co., Ltd., one of major tin ingot 99.95%min producers in Yunnan, would increase the production to about 150t in March after a delayed resumption of production last month.
"We would produce about 150t of tin ingot in March, up by 30t from last month," the source from the company reported, and they disclosed that they delayed resumption of production to early February due to the shortage of raw materials. They didn't have a plan to increase the production next month.
They totally have three furnaces of 1,250kVA and three fuming furnaces of eight square meters. However, currently they only have one electric furnace and two fuming furnaces in operation. The producer, with an annual production capacity of 5,000t for tin ingot, has 11 lines of processing plants in Myanmar to produce tin concentrate 40%min. They produced about 2,100t of tin ingot in 2022 and around 300t so far this year, holding no inventory currently.
Discouraged by weak demand, the current mainstream prices of Chinese tin ingot 99.95%min down by RMB1,000/t (USD143/t) from last Friday, stand at RMB185,000-187,000/t (USD26,547-26,834/t) EXW 100% down in Yunnan. Considering that most suppliers held negative views to the market, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of Chinese tin ingot 99.95%min would go down tomorrow.
