BEIJING (Asian Metal) 13 Mar 23 - Dinamika Sejahtera Mandiri (DSM), a major bauxite producer from Indonesia, suspended production from early March and remains out of production now, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We shut down operation from early March and keep out of production now," said the source, who produced over 500,000t last month and holds no stock now. As Indonesia will ban bauxite export from this June and most other producers do not keep export quota now, they become prudent in exporting now.
With the annual production capacity of 12 million tonnes, they produced over 1 million tonnes so far this year and around 4 million tonnes in 2022.
