BEIJING (Asian Metal) 10 Mar 23 - MD Metal Recycling, a secondary aluminum alloy ingots producer in Pakistan, would produce around 400t in March, down from around 700t last month, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We cut production in March for the dropped prices and might produce 400t this month, down from around 700t last month," said the source, who keeps around 300t in stock. In addition, buyers start watching the market for cheaper prices.
With the production capacity of 10,000tpy, they produced around 5,000t in 2022 and over 1,000t in the first two months of this year, focusing on exports to China.
Current prevailing export prices for secondary aluminum alloy ingots ADC12 stand at USD2,160-2,260/t CIF China, down by USD50/t from early this week because of the reduced aluminum prices and weakened demand. Buyers watch the market now for the slipping price.
