Hunan Nonferrous restarts aluminum fluoride production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Mar 23 - Hunan Nonferrous Fluoride Chemical Group, a major aluminum fluoride producer in south China, restarted operation on February 20 and produced around 1,000t last month, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We resumed operation on February 20 and produced around 1,000t last month," said the source, adding that they might produce 4,000t in March and holds no stock now. They once suspended production in the middle of January for equipment maintenance.
With three production lines and the total production capacity of 60,000tpy, they produced over 30,000t in 2022 and around 4,000t so far this year.
Current mainstream prices for aluminum fluoride 61%min in south China keep at RMB8,700-8,900/t (USD1,255-1,284/t) EXW, down by RMB200/t (USD29/t) from late last week for the increased supply. For the sluggish price of hydrofluoric acid, many producers increased aluminum fluoride production.
