CSK Mining plans to restart bauxite production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Mar 23 - CSK Mining Co., a medium-sized bauxite producer in Turkey, plans to restart operation from early April and might produce over 30,000t next month, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We would restart production from early next month and might produce over 30,000t next month," said the source, who once shut down operation from late last year for the cold weather in winter. For the improving demand from China, they plan to export to China.
With the annual production capacity of 900,000t, they produced around 300,000t in 2022, similar to 2021 and hold around 60,000t of bauxite Al2O3 57%min SiO2 4%max in stock now.
Current mainstream offers for monohydrate bauxite Al2O3 55%min SiO2 6%max keep at USD50-53/dt CIF China, unchanged from early this month. Bauxite producers from Turkey would restart operation after winter and the supply will increase.
