Inner Mongolia Xiaolong Charge increases HC ferrochrome production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 8 Mar 23 - Inner Mongolia Xiaolong Charge Co., Ltd., one of the major HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max producers, predicts to increase their production in March, a source from this company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source mentioned, "We predict to produce around 6,000t of HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max in March, while we only produced around 4,000t in February because we only operated one furnace of 33,000kVA last month". They hold 2 furnaces of 33,000kVA at present and operates both of them currently.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 120,000t of HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max, predicts to produce around 6,000t in March, up by around 2,000t from last month. They produced around 62,500t in 2022, and produced around 14,000t so far in 2023.
On Tuesday, the mainstream prices for Chinese HC ferrochrome Cr52%min C8%max stand at RMB9,150-9,350/t (USD1,320-1,348/t) EXW D/P in Inner Mongolia, unchanged from early this week. Insiders predict the mainstream prices would keep unchanged in the coming week as most suppliers have no plan to change their prices.
