Sichuan Puge Taiiyuan Metallurgy resume one furnace to produce silicon metal

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 6 Mar 23 - As one of major silicon metal producers in Sichuan, Puge Taiyuan Metallurgy Co., Ltd. in Sichuan resumed one furnace of 12,500kVA last Thursday, expecting the silicon metal output to increased by around 700t in March MoM, disclosed a source from the company last Friday.
"After about two months' maintenance, we resumed one furnace of 12,500kVA to produce silicon metal 4-4-1 yesterday and expect to have output within three days, and the output in March would increase by around 700t to 1,400t MoM," revealed the producer last Friday.
With an annual production capacity of 25,000t of silicon metal, the producer plans to produce around 1,400t in March with two of its three furnaces of 12,500kVA in operation, up by about 700t from last month, holding around 500t in stock.
The current mainstream prices of silicon metal 4-4-1 in China edged down by RMB200/t (USD29/t) to RMB17,600-18,100/t (USD2,548-2,620/t) delivered to Huangpu port from early last week.
