BEIJING (Asian Metal) 3 Mar 23 - The current mainstream prices of Chinese fused magnesia MgO 97.5%min, Ca/Si=2min, B
A producer in Anshan revealed, "We offered RMB5,200/t (USD754/t) EXW D/P for fused burned magnesia MgO 97.5%min, Ca/Si=2min, B . D . 3 . 5min, 0-20cm today and could accept no concession unchanged from early this week" . They closed no deal today and last sold around 100t at such price early this week. As they last purchased around 3,000t of caustic calcined magnesia MgO 98%min at RMB1,900/t (USD276/t) last month, they plan to stick to their current price and predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese fused magnesia would remain stable in the forthcoming week.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 15,000t of fused magnesia, predicts to produce nearly 1,000t in March, in line with last month. They have no inventory at present.
"We quoted RMB5,600/t (USD812/t) EXW D/A 180 days and considered the concession as much as RMB100/t (USD15/t) for fused magnesia MgO 97.5%min, Ca/Si=2 . 5min, B . D . 3 . 5min, 0-30mm since early this week", another producer in Dashiqiao claimed. They offered RMB5,600/t (USD812/t) to a client who would like to buy 300t early this week and they believe that they could close the deal at RMB5,500/t (USD798/t) at the beginning of next week. They last sold about 200t at RMB5,500/t (USD798/t) early this week . Supported by high production costs, the producer believes that the mainstream prices of Chinese fused magnesia would keep flat in the following week.
Based on the production capacity of 43,200tpy of fused magnesia, the producer predicts to produce approximately 2,000t in March, in line with last month. They hold around 1,000t of stocks now.
